For Struggling Creatives Creative Space Artist Residency
A Residency Designed for Artists Without Space
Many artists struggle to create due to limited space and lack of access to their audience. The For Struggling Creatives Residency provides a mobile studio—over 100 sq. ft. inside our 17-foot box truck, the Creative Space—where artists can step outside their home and into a dedicated workspace designed for their craft. More space means more opportunity to grow, and we’re here to provide that.
About the Creative Space
The Creative Space is a fully furnished mobile studio designed to support artistic practice and public engagement. It includes:
✅ A built-in backdrop for visual work
✅ Photo and video documentation tools for content creation
✅ A flexible space that can be parked anywhere with room for two vehicles
✅ A structured schedule that allows artists weekly dedicated studio time
Community Activation & Open House
This residency is more than just space, it’s about engagement and visibility. Artists are expected to activate the community through their work, which can take forms such as:
Parking in a public space and creating with the doors openHosting interactive workshops or live art sessions
Organizing a community program tied to their art practice
Each artist must also host at least one Open House to showcase their work to the public.
Support & Growth
Our team provides mentorship, consultation, and networking opportunities to help artists maximize their impact. We assist in strategizing community engagement and making the necessary connections to help artists grow their practice beyond the residency.
